I would suggest another couple of options:

I use Puffin browser it handles flash sites very well. does that help? there are other 3rd party apps that support flash (browsers mainly)

this was an issue with IOS6 at least for me. I had to plug in my iPad so itunes could see it. turn off wifi sync. sync the device to itunes via the cable. then turn sync via wifi back on and now it wants to work via wifi again..

If you have the right data plan (at least with AT&T) you can turn on personal hotspot. It allows other devices to connect via wifi to your iPhone.. Oh yes it is password protected.. so they must know the password to get on to your phone. does that help?

You can also use the ipad usb camera kit, plug in the usb camera kit to your iPad, use your iPhone sync cable and plud it into the usb port of the ipad adaptor and tada your photos from your iPhone will appear in the ipad's photo app and transfer away... that is if you purchased the iPad camera kit...
