windows disappearing sideways

I can't find the 'help' topic on this. I know it happens when I'm dragging windows about to see a lot at once and sometimes pull one too far to the right ... but how do you undo this this/get them back? (I know I should using 'spaces' etc. but haven't got around to it as I can never remember what I've allocated to what.) Anyway, this happens with two windows in one application, typically Preview or Word.

I suggest that you goto the Apple support site, and put your question to then, they generally have an answer to things like this
