There is an excellent article in the January issue of MacUser by
Philip Russell (p. 231) on using HyperCard as the finder. I haven't tried
it yet, but he gives a step-by-step tutorial on how to do it plus some
suggestions for a couple of tools (sharware DAs) to make the process easier
