When using Macterminal with a Prometheus modem, set configuration switch 3
on the modem to ON. This forces the modem to use the Hayes Compatible
result codes that MacTerminal expects. If you do not set this switch then
MacTerm prints "NO MODEM CONNECTED" error messages that may provoke you
into doing unnecessary testing of your Mac, modem cable, or modem. With
this modem setting you should also use the Apple phone settings in
Macterminal as your Promodem will now look exactly like an Apple 1200 baud
modem to your Mac.
