OSL Watchdog 1.4.1

What it is: AppleScript program that checks for obsolete ObjectSupportLib
Author: Ton Brand
Mac OS: 8.0 or newer
License: freeware

Some applications install under Mac OS 8.x an obsolete version of
ObjectSupportLib (OSL) in the Extensions folder. Since the introduction of
Mac OS 8, ObjectSupportLib is integrated in the system software and having
two OSLs present could lead to strange effects or even crashes. So now there
arises a need to check after every third-party software install procedure
whether ObjectSupportLib was wrongfully added. OSL Watchdog does this for
you automatically, after you have put the program or its alias in the
Startup Items folder (which is in your System folder).
If Apple should ever release a new separate OSL library, this will be seen
by OSL Watchdog and then you can easily adapt the script of this program
following the instructions then given.
OSL Watchdog can only be used - and is only useful - with Mac OS 8.0 or
newer.
