MacGPS transfers Waypoints, Routes, Track Logs, etc. between
some popular handheld GPS receivers and your Mac. Runs
on both PPC and 680X0 Macs. Includes instructions for
building the required interface cable.

This version adds the Dutch and the GDA datum. If you use
MacGPS, be sure to upgrade to this new release.

Also includes a Waypoint File for BOULDER County, Colorado
with the latitude and longitude of almost 250 important
locations. This text file can be printed with any spreadsheet
or word processing software for manual use, or it can be loaded
into the GPS receiver with the MacGPS software.

This file may be included on the InfoMac CD-ROM.

This file contains version 1.1.2 of NoteWorthy Virtual Notecards(tm)
from IntelliGents. (http://www.intelli-gents.com) It contains ONLY
the update of the application, and NOT the full installer with
documentation and plug-ins. (This installer is too large for the
info-mac site guidelines, and can be downloaded from the developer's
site, or from tucows.com or cnet.com.)

NoteWorthy is a relational database for notes, quotes and
bibliographic references. It is an essential tool for students,
teachers, or anyone whose work requires keeping a database of
research notes.

If you can read/write German, there is a mailing list operated by
"MUS" (Macintosh Users Switzerland), where you could ask your
question.

Here are the list details:

But remember: it is a GERMAN LANGUAGE list.

Best wishes, Christian.

Subject: my TiPBG4 battery problem, "catch for catch"

I wrote the following to macintouch on this battery problem thread.
I had taken the bottom case off my TiPBG4 to install an airport
card. Sharp reading eyeglasses (good as a magnifier or bright light for my
eyes) helped me observe uncaught tiny catch near corner of battery hole
near center of case.
Because of this being uncaught, the top seam of the battery hole
hadn't closed and this prevented the battery from seating properly and
itself catching.
Both my batteries work now, after this fix.
Hope this helps the mac portable supercomputer community!

Subject: QuickTime 5 and midi files

I installed QT 5, and now my the Player will not handle my midi files.
Several of my midi programs do not produce sound. The QT Player does produce
sound with QT movies, but not with midi movies. What is the solution?

In fact, it becomes INDEX~1.HTM, I think.

The problem only exists with CDs, as far as I know. Your Mac should
be able to read other PC media (HDs, floppies, etc.) normally.

What you need is the "Joliet" extension from Thomas Tempelmann. Look
for the latest version yt . Mine is version
1.3 and works with MacOS 9.04 on a blue/white G3, and with MacOS 8.6
on my Wallstreet Powerbook.

Best wishes, Christian.
