I would like to import photos into my iPhoto library. I visited Australia last year and went to Sydney, Melbourne and Tasmania. How can I import the photos into one Folder/Event that would keep each of the cities/towns in a separate subfolder so I can navigate to the Australia Folder/Event and then to any of the three cities without having them all mixed into one large group?
What is the best way to accomplish this?
Thanks - [ Jeff ]

Re: iPhoto 9
Using only iPhoto, you can apply custom keywords to the photos and sort them with smart folders, or within the main library with the keyword window.
If the files already include geo-tagging, you can automate a good deal of this. Otherwise you can import them all at a go -- they will all be organized as a single roll -- and apply the keywords as needed, or presort them by city to facilitate the labeling. Then create the smart folders using the different keywords as criteria, and they are automatically sorted.

I don't see an option for smart folders in iPhoto 9. Did you mean smart album? Thanks for your assistance - [ Jeff ]
