I am interested in learning to use GarageBand (not the new iLife 11 version) to convert some old LPs, Cassette tapes, etc. to digital.
Can anyone point to a good resource to take me through this step-by-step? I found a YouTube video for an older version, but they are so different that it really doesn't help that much.
Thanks for any leads.

Re: GarageBand - Converting LPs using GarageBand
Really all you need to do is plug your cassette player into your computer, create a new real instrument track in GarageBand, press record in GarageBand, play the external cassette player and record the desired song, stop recording in GarageBand, trim excess silence from the beginning and end, and export the final track to iTunes in AAC format. It's pretty straightforward.
The Help menu in GarageBand can define and explain any of the above terminology you don't understand.

I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.
