I am having uncomfortable experiences with macput/macget. My
configuration is a Vadic 3451P dialed up at 1200 baud to a Micom
dataswitch.

Macget works perfectly for me. It retrieves any size file from
the Macintosh to the Unix 4.2 system we're running the SUMACC
stuff on.

Macput is another story. It fails miserably. The file I tried
to transfer from the Unix to the Mac is a short 671 byte
ascii text file as you might create via 'cat > foobar ...
type text ... ^D'.

When the window containing the percentage transferred bar appears,
it says the file being transferred is 74934656 bytes! But in
fact the file is only 671 bytes!

Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be my modem? I don't
see how. Could it be the data-switch? I don't see how with that
either. It has got to be macput, no?
