Subject: [*] ACvisual stack -- ideas for AddColor transitions
Type: HyperCard stack
Requires: 8-bit colour, HyperCard 2.2 or newer
AddColor's transitions, when chosen from the menu in the color palette, are
assigned to a card, so that you get the transition whenever you go the
card. But what if you wanted to have separate transitions, so that the
transition depends on what card you started out from? The problem is solved
in the simple scripts of this stack. Full on-line documentation of what
goes on.

Subject: [*] Biorhythms 5.5c - new version!
Biorhythms 5.5c
"Our minds, bodies and emotions are governed by three natural cycles, known
as biorhythms. Once we realise how we are affected, we can plan our lives
accordingly, so that we take advantage of our peaks of energy and exercise
special caution on "critical" days. Biorhythms 5.5c is now highly acclaimed
worldwide, and generally agreed to be the most powerful, attractive and
original biorhythms program available on any platform. It supports Apple
events and Macintosh Drag and Drop. Use it to analyse your biorhythms, to
determine your good and bad days, and also your compatibility with others.
This is a shareware program."
New features since version 5.4c:
* Substantial changes to allow floating toolbars and windows.
* Massive improvements to Chart Comparison section.
* Improved Chart printing.
* Cosmetic improvments.
* First released PowerPC native version.
System requirements:
* System 7.0 or later
* PowerMac required for native version (5.5ppc)

Subject: [*] Centaurian 1.2.1
CENTAURIAN
New Release: Version 1.2.1 (FAT binary)
by David M. Dobson ([email protected])
Minimum requirements:
- Macintosh with 68030 processor or better (68040 or PPC recommended)
- System 7
- 640x480 256-color monitor (higher resolutions OK)
Centaurian is an arcade-style space game reminiscent of Bosconian, a
Midway-Namco arcade game from the early 1980's. Players battle through
enemy-controlled zones, destroying Centaurian bases and confronting a
variety of enemy ships and mines to reach the Centaurus colony. There are a
number of ship enhancements which can be found or purchased to assist in
the mission, and there are nine different bonus screens (Admiral Zorg's
Challenges) modeled after classic arcade games.
The game is shareware ($18). The unregistered game is fully functional but
limited to any set of eight zones per game (selected by the player from
among the first 38 or so zones). Registered users gain access to all 60
zones (including the final confrontation with the Centaurian leader),
load/save game features, secret cheat codes, and the level editor.

Subject: [*] Concatenator v1.1.2
Here is the not-so-long-awaited bug fix for Concatenator.
Concatenator groups, joins, merges, combines, agglutinates, _concatenates_
files of any type. It was designed in order to combine split Usenet
postings, but it can be used for other files with varying degrees of
success - for example, Teach/SimpleText/BBEdit files concatenate very
successfully, whereas concatenating Pagemaker documents, I have no doubt,
fails miserably (that is, the resulting file is useless). Use with
discretion and pay the fifty cent shareware fee!

Dicer! is a simple but useful utility to role-playing gurus of all sorts.
It's a whole bunch of features (type of dice, number of dice, + and -
modifiers, fully customisable) in one, compact window. Extensive
documentation, plus a few neat tips for rolling certain ranges (i.e.
50-100, 5-15, etc.). Postcardware.

Subject: [*] MenuBall 2.3.1-J2 (Japanese version)
MenuBall 2.3.1-J2 is the Japanese version of Alessandro Levi Montalcini's
MenuBall 2.3.1.
It always reminds me of the good old previous days. Yes, it is a good
memory recaller for me.
* MenuBall is an absolutely useless control panel that puts a bouncing ball
in your menu bar. It won't slow down your Mac and it shouldn't crash (but
use it at your own risk).
* There's only one smart use for MenuBall: since the ball moves one step at
each WaitNextEvent call, you can use it to monitor the system activity. If
it moves slowly, the front application is being friendly to other processes
and giving up a lot of processor time.
New in version 2.3.1:
- Updated documentation and recompiled with CodeWarrior 9.
New in version 2.3.1-J2:
- Slightly changed documentation.

PowerXplorer 1.0.5-J2 is the Japanese version of Alessandro Levi
Montalcini's PowerXplorer 1.0.5.
NOTE: REQUIRES MATH COPROCESSOR OR POWER MACINTOSH
* PowerXplorer is a small application written to test the Power Macintosh
speed in native floating-point calculations. It draws the Mandelbrot set
and lets you explore it by zooming in and out at will.
* PowerXplorer is a FAT application: it contains code for both the 680x0
processors and the new PowerPC chip. The 680x0 code requires at least a
68020 and a 68881 coprocessor; it doesn't run on a 68LC040 because that
chip has no math coprocessor.
* PowerXplorer requires 256 colors (or grays) to display the images
properly; with thousands or millions of colors the image is correct, but
there's no color animation.
New in version 1.0.5:
- More optimizations for the BeBox port, recompiled with CodeWarrior 9.

Subject: [*] Property
Version 1.0 eh?
Yep, this is the first version so there may be the occasional bug floating
around that I still haven't spotted. Please let me know if you find any!
There's also less options than there may be on future versions.
Any System Requirements?
Yep, you'll need something at least as good as an LCIII. You'll need at
least a 68030 processor really and a monitor that can display 256 colours
at 480x640 resolution. ie. a 13" monitor should do the job.
What is it?
Property is a version of a familiar property board game simulation. This
version is based on the Reading area and has been created using THINK C by
Graham Loader.
How do I play it?
It's all pretty straight forward how to play the game. If not there's a
user manual available from myself, or you can try the help option within
the game.
Is this game totally free or what?
This game is not free! If you like the game and play it more than a couple
of times then please show your gratitude. This game is BEERWARE which means
you can become a registered user by sending me a can of beer (export lager
perfered!). If you prefer you can send a cheque or cash to the value of =A35
which will give you the benefit of receiving the latest version of the
game, and the knowledge that I'll still be able to afford a pint from the
money!
How do I get in touch with the author?
Please send anything by snail mail to me at:

Well folks MagicHat Shareware has done it again. WHAT A GREAT GAME !!
You're a 24th century Bounty Hunter doing your part to clean up the galaxy.
As you roam through the outer reaches of the Federation Space Sectors your
ship's computer suddenly comes alive with a message of gravity detected.
You quickly set the computer's recognition circuits to identify the unknown
craft. Friend or foe, THAT is the question. You arm your lasers or load a
photon missle into the chute. You wait nervously with your finger on the
trigger as the star-like spec gets closer. Then in comes the message from
the computer, it's a Viper ! The hardest of all alien ships to destroy. The
Viper comes within range firing it's own lasers. You quickly launch 2
missles, both direct hits. It fades out of range and then comes back for
more, again firing it's own deadly blasts. You hammer at it with your own
laser nails and then smile as it changes to a cloud of space debris. You
relax and command the computer to give you a damage report. You took some
heavy hits it appears. You set co-ordinates for home base and engage the
hyperdrive. The stars turn to searing white lines as you head for home at a
speed Einstein would have said was impossible. You land at your home port
and collect your bounty on the slime your ship's computer recorded as now
being cosmic dust. Next you stop by the Federation garage and have your
ship repaired. You have a large amount of pocket change and so elect to
have that new Plasma Laser Gun installed as well as bump up the power of
your shields. You find you still have money left over, so what the heck.
You stop by the local resort, gamble a few bucks, then stop by and see the
stripper do her thing ......ahhhh life is good.

Subject: [*] Two Days in New York 3.4
Two Days in New York 3.4 is an amusing HyperCard game which puts you into
the position of a student in New York City. You get to spend two
pre-programmed days there, weathering all sorts of calamities and
responding as best you can given the limited imagination of the programmer.
Then you can go to Rhode Island or the middle of nowhere for a little
while.
This is an update to A Day in NYC 3.3 which removes the registration screen
because it did not work, and changes the writer's e-mail address.
For the best effect, click on any object you see once you get into your
apartment.
Requires any Mac with 1 meg of RAM or more, and HyperCard or Player 2.1 or
up (standard for a couple of years now on all Macs). $5 shareware. Fully
enabled.
Thanks,
David Zatz

Subject: (?) Using Xircom Ethernet Credit Card Adap
Hi friends:
A friend of mine have an Xircom CreditCard Ethernet (a PC Card) and he
don't going to used for a few months (long story); so try it to use it in
my PowerBook 5300 but I can't make it.
I put it in the port and the PB thinks that is a memory card not a
network card (?) I visit the web site of xircom to try to find something
that maybe help me. But Xircom don't have any mention of the Macintosh at
least not with PC Cards.
I try to use the software from other vendors but no one work, any ideas
will be welcome .. (I really prefer get into the net using ethernet than a
modem
Thanks in Advance
