Aaron 1.3.1 (March 25, 1996) by Greg Landweber and Edward Voas
(c) 1991-1996 Greg Landweber and ISYS Development Corp.
>From the authors of Greg's Buttons, Greg's Browser, and DoubleScroll.

Why wait for eight? Your Mac can have the Copland user experience today!
Just drop Aaron into your Extensions folder, and your Mac will look just
like the Copland Default Theme will (Aaron is based on Apple's official
Copland interface specs). Aaron gives you 3D Copland-style windows, scroll
bars, buttons, folder icons, menus, fonts, pop-ups, progress boxes, Finder
window headers, and more. Aaron is a fat binary for Macs and PowerMacs.

Version 1.3.1 fixes a conflict with Extensions Strip, as well as several
other glitches introduced in Aaron 1.3.

Subject: [*] AlphaBoat Educational Software for Children, Phonics

AlphaBoat is an entertaining game which teaches children the Alphabet. In
one activity the child is asked to find a "Big" or Little" letter. By
choosing the correct letter the child moves a sail boat from one tropical
island to the next.

In a second activity the child clicks on a camera and displays a picture of
a common object such as a hat. The program then asks "What letter does the
word HAT start with?" The target word is pronounced very carefully so that
the sound of the starting letter can be clearly heard. Correct answers move
the boat forward.

Both activities contain ways to get help finding the correct letter or to
find the correct letter by trial and error.

The program is in full color and uses many high quality digitized sounds.
It is kid tested and approved! Special pricing for schools is available.

SHAREWARE OFFER
When you send in your 16.00 shareware fee you will be sent by standard mail
or by e-mail, and expanded version of AlphaBoat which contains an additonal
PHONICS activity. Children will learn the basic vowel sounds while flying a
saucer from one planet to another.

AlphaBoat may be copied and distributed by electronic bulletin board as
long as it is not altered in any way.

Disclaimer:
In the unlikely event that AlphaBoat causes any damage to your computer
system or data files, the author of this software assumes no responsibility
for such damage.

System Requirements:
AlphaBoat requires system 6.07 or later and a Mac with a 13" or larger
color monitor and 2 Megs of free memory.

New in version 1.2.1
Several bugs which caused error messages to appear when clicking in certain
areas have been fixed. An option to not show the word when asking for
starting sounds has been added.

Subject: [*] ArrayMaster 1.0b1

ArrayMaster 1.0b1 =A9 Ben Lawson 1996. Free for personal use. This HyperCard
2.2+ stack is compressed and BinHexed with DropStuff. It can be used as a
tutorial on how to simulate arrays with HyperTalk, as a HyperTalk scripting
example, or as a tool to process up to 30 K of array data directly.
(Basically, it makes heavy use of the "itemDelimiter" property.)

=46ive Hypertalk functions provide this array functionality.
Get an array element's value: getArrayElement().
Change an array element's value: setArrayElement().
Insert an array element: insertArrayElement().
Delete an array element: deleteArrayElement().
Change an array's delimiters: convertArray().

Example:
put "11,12,13,14" & return & "21,22,23,24" into theArray
answer getArrayElement(theArray,2,3) -- returns "23"

This is a moderately tested beta version, please send comments or bug

The "Eclipse Beep" is the latest System Alert Beep from Clixsounds and
can add some creative flare to any Macintosh! It is a short, 2 1/2

surrounded by various lazer-like whizzes that circulate from speaker to
speaker all around you. It is indeed a worthy addition to the sound
collection of anyone who appreciates quality audio.

The Eclipse beep is available in both 16-bit/44kHz and 8-bit/22kHz stereo
versions. It will sound great on any Macintosh, but for optimum
performance, use it with external stereo speakers or a set of stereo

MATH DITTOS 2: Addition & Subtraction v 2.2
This folder is a collection of fact controlled addition and subtraction
worksheets. It is a remedial, "ground-up" reteach of addition and
subtraction. Although it was not developed for initial instruction in
those operations, it has been used successfully that way with both regular
and special education students. Facts are controlled, or limited, to the
clusters shown on each page, allowing for review of the facts, a prompt for
unknown facts, and, most importantly, allowing the student to progress
operationally even though facts are not mastered. It includes 52
worksheets with answers. Each page is an active ClarisWorks document and
can be modified to suit your individual needs. This version 2.2 release is
a major revision over previous releases. It includes samples of the color
worksheets and full-page answer sheets (both not included in previous
releases). A new and better configured Register program has been included
in this version. All pages have received considerable revision.

MATH DITTOS 2: Fact Controlled MULTIPLICATION for Special Learners
These books were originally created for my elementary LD and SEH students.
They had great difficulty memorizing their math facts, but were capable of
learning the processes and operations. While all of them did not master
their facts while completing these materials, they did learn many of the
facts and were successful with the operations. The pages are a sequential,
ground up, approach to multiplication with fact support in the form of
"fact bars" included on the first 3-4 pages of each new fact group.
Periodic review is integrated into the program. The pages are large type
and rather uncluttered. This 2.2 release includes samples of the color
worksheets and speed drills, not included in previous distribution
releases.

MATH DITTOS 2: Fact Controlled SUBTRACTION for Special Learners
MATH DITTOS 2: Fact Controlled SUBTRACTION for Special Learners , verson
1.2, is a group of ClarisWorks documents designed to allow students to
compute while learning their facts. The fact bars, strips, etc. included
on each page include all and only the facts used on the page. The
worksheets are designed to be as uncluttered as possible, with large
numbers and very few problems on each page. Fact support is included on
most pages. These pages were not designed for initial instruction in
subtraction, but as a review for students who had tried and failed with a
traditional approach. While I do use these materials now for some initial
instruction in subtraction, their best use is still as a reteaching
material. MATH DITTOS 2: Addition & Subtraction provides a much more
comprehensive approach to initial instruction. All facts presented in a
factstrip or factbar are tested at least once on the page. Emphasis is
usually given to the newest facts. No other facts should be on the page
The "zero minus zero" fact is assumed, and if necessary, should be directly
taught. MD2: FCSfSpL is unique in that it is published as a series of
computer documents, and in that it supplies comprehensive fact support.
This feature allows students who have not, or can not, master their facts
to continue learning the process of subtraction.

Subject: [*] TriAngler v1.0

TriAngler v1.0 (requires Claris FileMaker Pro v2.5 or greater)

This simple FileMaker Pro database contains trigonometric calculation fields
to determine and compare the ratio of sides between two right triangles.

It is most useful for keeping track of parts or components which have an
angular dimensions. It will calculate the included angles of any right
triangle, permitting you
enter the length of it's sides.

The architectural standard form of expressing "slope" as a ratio between a
10 or 12 inch base and a "rise" or "set" of any dimension is also
calculated. Other sized bases
are also included.

=46abricators, stairbuiders, carpenters, plumbers, and many others will
immediately recognize the usefulness of this simple, free calculator.

We created this file to calculate and store dimensions of the many parts
that we manufacture which have angled cuts or bends.

TriAngler maybe distributed elsewhere provided that it remains unaltered
and no charge or fee is made for it.

Subject: [*] Ultima III Editor 1.0d6

Version 1.0d6 March 1996: Development Release:
* Now supports Ultima III 1.3's new variable size Map format!!!
* If a Window can't do graphics offscreen, it will perform updates on-screen.
This might look a little weird, but it's better than crashing.
* Offscreen Graphic scrap spaces are no-longer stored for each window. They
are now created on demand. This means updating a window might be a little
slower; it also reduces the RAM needed for each window by about 85%.
With 1 meg of RAM, I was able to open all the Map Windows, with over 100k
remaining in available RAM. Nifty!
* Map Windows now zoom when you click the zoom box. (a much requested feature)
* The Window Menu is complete, including window stacking, horizontal and
vertical tiling, and window zooming.
* Controls now deactivate properly when the windows containing them are
made active/inactive.
* Windows have a pleasant grey look to them. Aaron users might like this.
* There is a Progress Dialog when opening/saving Scenario Files.
* More miscellaneous bug-fixes.
* the Ultima III Editor is now Free - it is no longer distributed as
shareware.

URL Forward is a simple background-only application that forwards GURL
AppleEvents or AppleScripts sent to it to Internet Config. What this
means in English is that if you have a program that is capable of sending
AppleEvents or running AppleScripts, you can have it open URLs for you in
whatever program you have set up to handle that type of URL. Some
examples of programs that might use this are FileMaker and QuicKeys. For

Here is the latest update to WhoAmI?, the application that patches your
System and Update/Enabler files so your Mac will know it's identity in the

Version 1.2 adds support for System 7.5 Update 2.0, and should also work
correctly with System 7.5.3. (though I didn't test 7.5.3 since haven't yet
seen it...).

Please read the instructions and follow them exactly.

There is no help on print server documentation.

* Lantronix EPS1 Multiprotocol Print Server
* HP 7600 Series Electrostatic Plotter

Any help wil be appreciated.

Subject: Where the hell is Popup Folder?

Does anyone know where to get (a copy of) Popup Folder? I loved the demo I
had 'til it timed out but have not been able to find a 'real' copy. The
only thing I have found is the updater to v.1.5.1 on Info-Mac. I have
repeatedly tried to contact the names on the updater. My store can't find
hide nor hair of it. What is the protocol if one wants a piece of software
that is 'out of print'? Is it OK to pass copies of such software? If you
have any clues on getting hold of the latest(?) Popup Folder, or how to
hack the demo, or????? PLEASE email me .
