3GB of memory in a G4 Tower?

3GB of memory in a G4 Tower?
There are quite a few 1GB PC133 memory cards on the market, like these. What is the state of using something like this in a G4 tower, or later iMac G3s? Will these system recognize these large RAM modules? If so, why don't major Mac sites like OWC list them as compatible?
I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.
