Tried holding down the shift key immediately after the chime and nothing happened. I'll take a look at that web site right now and see where to go from here. thank you

Thanks so much, I'll go try this right now. Let you know what happens. I am also assuming you meant the "shift" key....I don't have a shit key...although with some of my work I think I should.

It's just a blue background No symbol or question mark, not my desktop pic either. I can move the mouse and see it move around but that is it.

Myac was on during A storm and the power went out. Now when I turn the computer on it goes on but their is nothing onthe desktop. Nothing to click on, just nothing. Tried restarting and still nothing. What do I do? Anyone?
