Are you using the latest version if iForum, 1.0.6? It appeared on the App Store late last night. You can tell by its new icon, which looks like this:
If so, and it's still crashing, perhaps some saved data is interfering with it somehow. Try deleting the app and re-downloading.
I've tested it fairly thoroughly and have never actually had it crash for me.

Have you upgraded to iOS 4 yet? I haven't been able to reproduce this issue and, so far I've been racking my brain trying to even imagine a cause for this behavior. I'll continue working on this... if there are any more details you can provide it would be very helpful! Such as any sort of jailbreaking or firmware hacking you may have done.
There's been about 200 or so downloads of iForum since version 1.0.6 went live a few nights ago, and some people have already posted from it just fine, so the problem you two are experiencing is perplexing. Especially from a coding standpoint, there isn't any reason that going to the Home Panel specifically should cause that, as loading function is shared by every other page.

OK, I have an update for everybody. There's a bug that makes iForum 1.0.6 crash if you're using iPhone OS 3.1.3 or lower. It works fine with iPhone OS 3.2 (iPad) and iOS 4.
iForum 1.0.6 now checks for user interface scale, to determine which graphics to show depending on whether or not you're using an iPhone 4 high-resolution display. The property that is being checked appears to not exist prior to iPhone OS 3.2, thus resulting in a crash that went unnoticed by both myself and the Apple tester who approved the app.
I've submitted an update to the App Store already to fix this and allow operation on iPhone OS 3.1 and up. Look for iForum 1.0.7 update in the App Store in a few days.
Sorry for the inconvenience!

I emailed Apple using their "request expedited review" form, explaining that 1.0.6 crashes in iPhone OS 3.1.x and version 1.0.7 should be approved as soon as possible. Hopefully they agree and do it. The last review process took about six days.

iForum 1.0.7 addresses this bug and is now on the App Store. Enjoy!
