Subject: [*] Book_of_Items3.2.hqx: A Realmz companion

This stand-alone document (produced with DOCMaker) is an exhaustive
compilation of the items found in the shareware game Realmz from Fantasoft.
As of now, the items found in the City of Bywater, Prelude to Pestilence,
Assault on Giant Mountain, Castle in the Clouds, and Destroy the
Necronomicon scenarios are included, as well as some of the new items in
Search for the White Dragon and various items that are currently (as far as
I know) available only trough the PC editor.

What's new since last time?
Version 3.2 includes ALL the items available in Realmz3.2, including the
Destroy the Necronomicon scenario. The document has also been cleaned up a
bit to be more self-consistent.

This file can be included on any CD-ROM collection provided I am
notified of its inclusion.

Subject: [*] CDFinder 1.1.1

CDFinder catalogs CD-ROMs, ZIPs, floppies, SyQuests, and everything else
that turns (even your file server..) and allows you to search for anything
in those catalog files.

It is very fast, supports drag&drop, is PowerPC native (but also fast on
any other Mac with at least a 68020 CPU), and is bilingual
(English/German).

CDFinder is shareware (15 US$ for a single user license) and here in
Germany already quite popular.

The new version adds some more drag&drop support and besides some smaller
interface enhancements can now update existing catalog files.

Give it a try!

Foobar vs. the DEA
Version 1.0.1

Foobar has been pushed too far. Help him take on the forces of the
tyranical DEA. Rescue his boyfriend Ned from DEA's mind control
camp for drug offenders.

Foobar plays like Xevious. You get the complete game Foobar vs.
the DEA. It has 4 levels that should keep even the most skilled
gamer busy for hours. Play Foobar. Give it to your friends. If
you like it, you can send $20 for Foobar vs. the FCC and Foobar
vs. His Local School Board. We need your money.

You can find out more at
http://www.phys.lsu.edu/~cruse
(You can get a copy directly from
http://lilly.physics.wisc.edu/pub/cross/FOO1.sea.hqx)

We have copies of the program, online ordering, updates, and a
Foobar FAQ.

Foobar requires 2 Meg of free memory, a 256 color monitor, and
an LC III(68030) or faster computer.

Version 1.0.1 fixes a few minor bugs. Mostly it plays easier.
Thanx to everyone who sent in comments and suggestions.

=46ont Clerk 6.1 is a complete font management utility. It provides the
capabilities to view an entire character set, find key sequences for
those special characters, collect font specs for a given point size,
obtain general information about your system and it's configuration, and
generate reports and font lists for easy reference.

=46ont Clerk 6.1 can be extended through the use of a drop folder called
"FC Scripts =9F". AppleScripts dropped in to Font Clerk's "FC Scripts =9F"
directory, appear in it's "Scripts" menu, allowing the user to expand
the capabilities of Font Clerk. As Apple extends AppleScript, new
capabilities can easily be added through the use of these scripts.

=46ont Clerk is Shareware. System requirements: Font Clerk 6.1 will run on
any Macintosh running System 7.0 or later (System 7.5 recommended). It
supports both color and black & white monitors.

Mix requires system 7 and 450k of free memory. Color is highly recomended,
but not neccessary.

Mix is postcard-if-your-nice-but-e-mail-if-your-not-ware.

Mix is a card game very similar to Set=AE...
Up to 5 players (human or cpu) play competively and search for "sets"...
When a player sees a set, he/she/it buzzes in and enters the set.

Cards are composed of 4 elements; shape, color, fill, and number. A set is
3 cards on which each element is either the same across all the cards, or
differant on each card.

Addictive to some, though I think it's just fun...

Description: The NDS Osax is a small set of the many NetWare

really useful if you are using Novell's NetWare Client for

NetStickies adds AppleTalk network functionality to Apple's "Stickies"
application. You can send and receive stickies from other users that have
NetStickies installed, send "text clippings" from a text drag and drop, and
send clipboard text. The target user will receive the text as a stickie,
immediately visible on their screen .

New for version 2 is Macintosh drag and drop support. You can drag and drop
any text onto a "NetStickies Drop" folder that gets created on your Desktop.
Thus, you can quickly send any text by dropping it on this folder. Also,
each stickie sent now has a date and time stamp.

Shareware, $10.

* It has an extremely simple, slick interface - all controls are 'live'.
* It can cope with enormous world sizes - over 4 million cells per 1Mb memory.
* It is blindingly fast - e.g. 11 million cells per second on a 66MHz 601.
* It automatically wraps the world - infinite scrolling in all directions.

The Artificial Life game was originally developed by James Conway and is the
basis of hundreds of implementations on every conceivable platform.

ProCreation is distributed as a fat application, and requires System 7. It is
shareware, and may be included on any archive if the entire package is

Subject: [*] RAM Doubler 2.0 indicator patch

This patch is distributed as "gratitude-ware", in gratitude to the
many fine programmers who have produced far more sophisticated
freeware and shareware products for Macintosh users throughout the
universe.

This patch will make the activity indicator in version 2.00 of RAM
Doubler active by default. The activity indicator is a small white dot
(a single pixel) in the upper left-hand corner of the screen that
blinks when RAM Doubler is doing its stuff. (Because some Macs, such
as powerbooks, have screens without rounded corners, this indicator
might be invisible.) I find the indicator useful because it aids me in
determining why my system is not running as quickly as I think it
should be. With Apple's virtual memory, I can hear the hard disk spin,
and see the hard drive activity light. As distributed, RAM Doubler
provides no such indication of its efforts.

Subject: [*] Trainspotters Puzzle 1.3b -- crossword fitword puzzle

Trainspotters Puzzle makes fitword puzzles from a text file, or from words
entered by the user. A fitword puzzle is a type of crossword where you get
all the solution words and it's your task to fit the words into the grid.
You can print out the fitword puzzles in SimpleText. Registered users get
access to complete crossword solutions. The program is 'fat', it runs
native on Power Macs and also on 68K Macs. It requires System 7 or later.

New in version 1.3b: If you choose 'Save Crossword' the resulting crossword
will be in format which can be printed out directly with the use of a
special crossword font. In the 'General Settings' dialog you can now change
the size of the crossword.

You can get more info and see examples of crosswords generated by
Trainspotters Puzzle at:

Subject: [*] TurboFind FAT 1.4

This is an update to earlier versions of TurboFind.

TurboFind searches the contents of TEXT files in a folder heirarchy for a
given string. It is designed to be as fast as possible.

You run it, drag the folder to search into the window, type the string to
find, press return and it searches. Documents remember the search folder.

A list of files which either have the string in their name, or in the
text of the file is displayed.

Double-click to view in a view window, Command-E to reveal in the Finder,
Command-I to show Finder info, Command-R to run in the Finder.

Files with names containing ".html" have the HTML tags stripped from them
before display. Linefeeds are changed to Returns before display.

TEXT files with ".pdf" or ".hqx" in the name are skipped as being
non-interesting to search.

This version is a 68k & PowerPC FAT application. (There are utilities to
strip the unused code if you like).

The latest version and other free software by me is available from my
home page at:

http://www.moreinfo.com.au/access/

TurboFind is free.

Subject: [*] UULite 3.0 Release for the Macintosh

I am pleased to announce the release of UULite version 3.0 for the
Macintosh. UULite is one of the fastest, most powerful and easiest to
use smart uudecoder/uuencoders available for the Macintosh.

UULite is one of the first and best uuencoder/ uudecoders available for
the Macintosh. It's a highly optimized, single-pass, disk-based
uudecoder/ uuencoder. Because it's disk based, it's never necessary to
adjust its memory partition to handle any file -- no matter how large.
UULite version 3.0 now runs native on both Power Macs and 680x0
Macintoshes. If the task is to uudecode/uuencode files, UULite will
save you time and aggravation.

Version 3.0 has the following features:

* One-step Smart uudecoding:
- Multi-part file decoding with automatic header and footer removal - no
editing required
- Ability to decode source files containing multiple output image files
- Drag and Drop decoding of any number of files
- Ability to automatically move source file to the trash
- File Merge and Decode for decoding images from multiple input files
* One-step uuencoding with file splitting to simplify Usenet posting
* Smart automatic file Type and Creator stamping - user configurable
* Manual file Type and Creator editing on any file
* UNIX Mac text conversion
* No Frills uudecoding
* Direct and unambiguous feedback on progress
* Background processing: decode/encode in the background while you work on
other things
* Help and Usenet Read News Tutorial
* Improved NewsWatcher compatibility
* Ability to use other programs as helper programs
- You can now configure UULite to feed decoded files to other programs
(launching them if necessary). Imagine selecting an uuencoded image
file in NewsWatcher, choosing "Extract Binaries" and having the image
decoded and fed to a program like JPEGView for immediate display on
your screen...all in one step.

Subject: [*] WriteStyler

StyleWriter will modify any combination of font, style and size in a
document that is saved in the original MacWrite [5.0] format. For
example, you can change the font Stone Sans Bold to plain Stone Sans
and Bold style. This can be useful when converting a document to HTML.

Subject: [*] WWWStat4Mac 1.4.2 - Webserver log analyser

Summary of WWWStat4Mac Features.
-------------------------------
Processes WebStar and Common Log format Logs Automatically. No need to
recompile or reconfigure.

Automatic Processing. Set WWWStat4Mac to process your chosen log file at a
fixed time each day or at a repeat interval, for example every two hours.

Drag and drop processing. Automatically processes log files that are
dropped onto it. No need for reconfiguration or for recompilation.

Fast. A typical file is processed at about 4-500 lines/second on a PowerMac
7200/90 with a set of basic options. Ultra fast when coupled with the
powerful caching features that mean only the changes to a file need
processing when it is processed later.

DNS resolving of unresolved names. If your server doesn't resolve the DNS
names then let WWWStat4Mac do it for you. Powerfull DNS caching means that
once a name has been looked up it won't need looking up again!

FAT Binary application, will run native on ANY Macintosh running System 7
or later.

Macintosh user interface for choosing, processing and saving files. Runs in
the background.

A Powerfull but flexible and simple to use, set of text based options. This
allows for rapid editing and customisation with a simple text editor.

A wealth of options available to help in log processing, including powerful
filtering and alias features. For example exlude all gif files from the
statistics with one simple command "exclude_file *.gif".

HTML output. Either a simple text version, or a more sophisticated TABLE
output with graphs and graphics.

Many different sections giving information on domains, sites, files, and
traffic.

All this for the extremely reasonable Shareware fee of $10. You'll find it
hard to find another application (commercial or sharware) with this many
features.
