This is a weird little thing happening in Explorer 5. When visiting
the cdbaby web site (on-line distributors for independent musicians),
IE5 doesn't show the "buy" button to add an item to your list of
stuff you want to buy. A view source shows the following code where
the buy button should be:

Well, gee, of course there's no buy
button, duh, look at the comment tag! But iCab does show the buy
button and a view source of the same area shows the

Weird. Anybody have any idea of what
could cause the actual source to download differently? I mean,
interpretation is one thing, but... I first tried the page Sunday
evening. Now Monday afternoon it's still the same. So it's not like I
caught them in mid-update or something. I've checked the page with
IE5 on Windows and the button is there.
Any theories? Is it just me? I'm using
an iMac if anyone thinks that might matter. I could try re-installing
IE5, but I wanted to hear some opinions first.
The url in question is

site have the same issue with IE5 on my Mac.

QIF Categories converts Quicken Interchange Format (QIF) banking or
credit card transaction files, adding Quicken categories based on the
description of each transaction. It is
useful for converting QIF downloaded from online banking or credit
card web sites before importing them into Quicken. To convert a QIF
file, just drop it onto QIF Categories.
You can configure QIF Categories as a browser helper application for
files of type application/qif to have it invoked automatically on
downloaded QIF files.
QIF Categories converts each transaction in the QIF file dropped on
it by: 1) Deleting any existing category; 2) Adding a category
obtained by looking up the transaction's description in a mapping
database, or getting the category from the user if not found in the
database; 3) removing the plus sign from transaction amounts (because
not all versions of Quicken allow plus signs); 4) Adding an
indication that the transaction has cleared; 5) optionally extracting
a check number from the description (unless the transaction already
has a check number); and 5) transferring all other parts of each
transactions to the output file. You can convert the input file in
place or chose a different output filename.
System requirements:
* System 7 through 8.6; not tested with MacOS 9
* Macintosh with at least 4 MB of RAM

You could turn off all normal alerting under settings and create a
filter that alerts you only to messages in a specific mail box. This
would probably require you to create another "In" box. Place the new
filter last in the list and thus all messages that fail to be
filtered into other mailboxes.
Actually, you can probably do this without the new box...there are
several possible options including "Notify User", "Play sounds",
"Speak Subject"....

I had just about decided that my new ZIP-250-USB drive on my iMac-DV-SE had
developed problems requiring repair/replace. But the last (of many, many)
things I tried seems to have solved the problem, which appears to have been
a software hang-up.
A few days ago, the drive would not recognize an inserted disk. Monkeying
around, it finally worked. But today, the problem came back and I tried
everything I could think of, including everything in Iomega Help, to no
avail. Cmd-Y would not eject a disk, so I ejected with the drive button.
The only way the drive button works is when an inserted disk is not
recognized.
Then I went into Iomega-Tools. It reported "no disk" in the drive. But I
clicked on "Eject" anyway .... and voila! .... it's working fine now.
