Hi, my client is planning to setup three computers with ArraySync in his up coming trade show. It would be a closed network of the three computers. Should he get a hub or a router?

You'll definitely have an easier time with a router. A generic wired router is usually pretty cheap these days.
I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.
