Hello all-
I'm trying to use an ethernet splitter to hook up a network that includes both a Mac Mini which needs to be plugged in directly, and a couple of other laptops, which I hope to run using an Airport Express. When I plug the splitter into the modem, I can only successfully connect on the wireless network. If I plug splitter into the router, the opposite. The wired Mac Mini works fine, but the Airport Express flashes orange, and I can't connect using Wifi. Any thoughts on how to resolve this? Using 10.4.11 on the Mini, 10.3.9 on one of the laptops, and I think 10.6 on the other. Thanks in advance.

Re: Networking w/Wired and Wifi
Lose the splitter - either get two individual ethernet cables connected to your router, or if that isn't possible get a hub like this one connected to the router, and then connect your Mac mini and AirPort to the hub using two individual wires.
I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.
