Welcome both old-timers and newbies! It's always a pleasure to hear when old Info-Mac members return again. Just one thing, though... Info-Mac was never "part" of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. MIT helped us create the first searchable index of the Info-Mac Archive back in the mid-1990s, when "searching" was an entirely new paradigm. This is what you probably know as the MIT HyperArchive. Before the HyperArchive, you're only option was to browse through the Info-Mac Archive folders and manually read all the abstracts (description files) to find what you needed.

Basically, the MIT HyperArchive was a very advanced mirror of Info-Mac, and served us well for over a decade.
