hi, I'm new to the community and Thanks for this active community
I am having problems with my keyboard and Mouse on the IMac.
everything is fine the first few minutes, then the special buttons (arrowkeys, backspace etc) on the keyboard stop working and a bit later all the keys. Also the mouse buttons seem to reverse funtion and get totally different funtions. Restarting gets everything working normal again for a few minutes. I scanned for virusses, but nothing was found. Changing things in settings doesn't help.
Anybdy an idea?
thanks a lot

That's very unusual. Are these Apple brand keyboard and mouse, or a third party? When you say restarting gets it working again, do you mean you restart the keyboard and mouse or the computer?
I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.

There’s nothing in Mac OS that would cause that, so you’ve got a hardware problem going on somewhere. I’d suggest trying a different keyboard and mouse.

Yeah, it sounds like you either got a mouse and keyboard that are made for PCs under Windows or Linux, or that you got bootleg hardware that doesn't have the capacities of the original.

It happen to me before when I was using non-Apple brand usb mouse. But if I changed to another non-Apple usb mouse, it was ok. Sometimes, the usb device worked in PC or Linux may not work 100% in macOS subject to different factories.
