attachment with images to an E-mail

Whenever I try to attach a document to an E-mail, itcomes up the other end completely garbled and no images at all. What do I have to do to send /attach the document as E-mail?

Well if you're using Mail.app (in your Applications folder and possible on your Dock), you just drag a document from your desktop or wherever the file is into your email. If you're not using Mail.app, you should be.

Look for the attachment tool in your mail program, it will let you browse your computer for the image file you want to attach.
