Burning CDs, not all tracks?

Hi there, I am new here and don't know much about computing either. My problem: Whenever I burn downloads to CD's I end up with just half of the tracks on the disc. Funny enough, if I try to burn the vast amount of 70 track it will burn up to60 on ONE CD. How can I make sure that there will be exactly what I want (the number and the chosen order ) on the CD ? Audio CDs can only hold a certain amount of time of music, typically 70 or 80 minutes. It's not by track count.

Yes, but when I burn 20 tracks I end up with 10 o13. Then , If I burn 70 tracks I got some35 or 40 on the CD. This is certainly a lot, yet....whatever number of songs I burn , it's always just 50% or 70% on the CD.

I think you're confusing something somewhere. I don't know of any CD that can hold 40 average-length songs.
Are you burning an audio or a data CD?

Maybe you burn Data CD and then try to play it as Audio CD? Because 40 songs is too much for a regular CD
