Info-Mac

I suddenly cannot add/edit new contacts or edit old ones on my brand new iMac (not the one that' s just come out ... missed it by a week!). Have searched but found no answers. Apple support are going to email me back but I wondered if anyone else has ever had this problem. I've probably hit a key/combination of keys by mistake.

Have discovered that if you are heavy-handed with the delete button you can delete the whole placeholding box as well the mispelt word. However, I managed to delete the whole "No Name" new contact that I had messed up and got a new one.

There doesn't seem to be an 'undo' for idiots like me. I couldn't use CTRL Z because it was much later when I worked out what had happened.

Call Apple Tech Support. You may have to reinstall address book. AppleCare may be spendy, but over the years it's been worth it's weight in gold. I wouldn't buy a Mac without it.
