Drafts in Mail

I wonder if anyone can solve a mystery for me? My drafts can no longer be turned into a page with 'Send' and Attach' on. I cannot use my lap-top (iBook G4) to send them and have to access them via our network on the iMac. In other words, when I double-click the draft, the 'Send' page does not come up. I can find nothing in 'Help' about this.
