Internet and other problems

Ok, I woke up one morning and booted up my MacBook. An error messagne popped up and told me that my time and date was set before 2008 so I may experience problems with applications. I went in and unchecked the automatic time and reset the time and date. I noticed that my folders were all lined up along the side. I tried connecting to my home network. It showed the it connected and then said it wasn't connected to internet. So, I checked my ps3 (as sometimes I use my Mac as a mediaserver) and it showed it to not be on the network at all. I deleted the. Plist and rebooted, didn't work. I deleted all the saved networks and started from scratch...nothing. I have several computers and my iPhone that connects to my network with no problems. I was wondering if it was a hardware issue... But when I went to college today it logged on to their network with no problem. So now I am lost and any ideas out there would help alot and be appreciated... Thanks in advance.

That's most often associated with a dead PRAM battery. Follow the instructions here to reset it, as it may cause other problems.

You'll also want a new battery if it is indeed dead.

Which plist file? Who advised you to do that?

Also consider shutting down all open apps, and doing a permissions repair and then restarting the computer.

It was com.apple.network.identification.Plist, I also did networkinterfacrs.Plist and com.apple.airport.preferences.Plist.. I researched the problem online and saw multiple suggestions of doing that and it worked for them. I have also done that to solve other problems. I have reset the pram that was one of the first things I tried. How do you tell if it's conpletly dead or problems? The time is still correct now... Also when I connected to the Internet at school I set it back to automaticly with apple and it's still good. I also repaired permissions and such... With no help. I'm lost and confused :)
