Re: Cant my netgear router
What is the problem you're having? Does your router appear in the list of AirPort networks? Is it rejecting your password? Does it give you an error of any kind?
Are you sure the problem is your computer not connecting to the router, and not some other problem like your router not connecting to the internet?
If your AirPort menu icon looks like this then it is connected:

I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.

the airport is fine coz i can connect to open wireless sites.
connecting directly using an ethernet cable works but not wireless. you think its the router rather than the macbook?

Re: Cant connect to my netgear router
Move your MacBook right next to your router. Does your router not show up in the AirPort menu? If not, and you are able to connect to other wireless networks besides your own, then your router either has no wireless network setup, or it's faulty.

Re: Cant connect to my netgear router
I am using this netgear router and had similar trouble. I had to go into the settings of my router and change the frequency (the broadcast range). Maybe this will solve your issue.
