Missing Specs In New iMac

Is it just me or has Apple missed something by not putting a blueray player/burner in the new iMac. Also in this day and age surely an HDMI connection wouldn't go a miss.
If I were Apple, I guess I would be thinking that I want customers to use the iMac's internal display for their movie watching. If somebody is going to add an external display, it is more likely that they're adding a second computer display, so if I were to have only one display port, it would be DisplayPort, since HDMI can't support the ultra high resolution displays like the Apple Cinema HD 30 Display, which is actually much larger than HD.
As for BlueRay, I can't explain that...
