I'm attempting to install Debian/PowerPC onto my PowerBook G3 Kanga, using BootX as a bootloader. I've gotten the system to boot to the installer and start the install process, but when it gets to the part saying "configuring network via DHCP" it sits there for about three minutes, then the PowerBook abruptly chimes and restarts into the Mac OS.
Any ideas?

I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.
Re: Early troubles installing Debian on a Kanga
I'll assume you have either resolved this or moved on, yet just for the record, the distros I can recall that explicitly supported Kanga were MkLinux and Yellow Dog. Look here for more detail:

The problem is that Kanga was something of a mongrel, being essentially a Hooper with a G3 bolted on, making installation rather tricky.
