Well folks - I called up Modula Corp yesterday for the umpteenth time and
was told that shipments on their Modula-2 compiler for the Mac would begin
"tomorrow". Well, that still rings of "the check is in the mail", but just
MAYBE I will have a compiler early next week. I have been using the Beta
test version with mixed results (it works, but has some bugs and is S L O W -
the edit-compile-link-test process, not the resulting code) and will post a
review when (if) I get my production copy.

I was saddened to hear that Volition bit the dust - I was hoping that SOMEONE
would do a native-code compiler for the Mac. The Modula Corp compiler generates
"m-code" that's not bad (at least in my limited tests) but real 68000 code
would be nice...
