Not that they are used or anything, but has anyone figured out what type
of scheme Bill Atkinson used to assign numeric codes to the 8 colors in
the (forthcoming?) color Mac? While they seem to be will distributed, I
cannot figure out how they were chosen. They can all be expressed in nine
bits but breaking them down into their bit patterns sheds little light.
Anyone got any ideas?
