Here at NYU, we had a microsoft rep. stop by a few days ago, and
when asked about Multiplan on 512K Mac, she said that " it will
run, but won't take advantage of the extra memory", she mumbled
something about the memory size being hardwired in....
Apparently Multiplan isn't the only such application, but I don't know of
others offhand and microsoft may not be the only such vendor. In any case,
the solution is the RAM Disk, which I believe our User's Group is reselling
for $20, so the list must be << $100.
