Subject: [*] Anarchie 2.0.1 Small Windows Patch
This patch simply changes the look of Anarchie's FTP windows to be
exactly the same size as the Archie windows. This is very useful if
you're like me and tend to have about ten bazillion transfers going on
at once. The smaller windows _should_ show all the numbers correctly,
but if you start transferring 100 meg files, the numbers won't all fit
and will be truncated.
Notice - this patch is for Anarchie 2.0.1. I have not tested this
patch on any other versions, so you shouldn't either! Just get 2.0.1!

Subject: [*] AutoLaunch Pro 1.0.7
Attached is version 1.0.7 of AutoLaunch Pro. AutoLaunch Pro is a screen
saver engine for the Mac OS that runs Macromedia Director projectors and
other standalone presentations. It is a new submission, not to be confused
with AutoLaunch, it's shareware sibling.
AutoLaunch Pro provides a high quality, cost effective means for multimedia
authors to distribute their work as screen savers, complete with
customizations to ensure it fits with the "look and feel" of their project.
Based on the proven engine already in use in St. Clair Software's
AutoLaunch control panel, AutoLaunch Pro provides the following features:
o Runs a Macromedia Director projector or any other Macintosh
application as a screen saver.
o Provides users with screen saver controls for on/off, delay, and
activation options in an easy to use control panel.
o Allows authors to customize the AutoLaunch Pro control panel with
their own artwork using a user-friendly setup application.
o Requires no special scripting of Director projectors, and allows
use of all Director features and Xtras.
This software is a full-featured demonstration version. Before
distributing screen savers with AutoLaunch Pro, you must purchase a license
code, as explained in the accompanying documentation.
In addition to the standard internet archives, information and updates are
available at:
AutoLaunch Pro may be included on the UMich and Info-Mac CD-ROMs.

Subject: [*] BBEdit HTML TOC version 1.0
Most HTML markup extensions concentrate on the appearance of the document,
making it easy to add HTML tags to a text document. BBEdit HTML Tables,
which I released some time ago now is that sort of extension, simplifying
the construction of tables in HTML documents. This extension is different.
BBEdit HTML TOC is an extension for BBEdit which looks at the logical
construction of the document and makes it easier for you to introduce
logical markup. With HTML TOC you can easily create a table of contents for
any piece of text which has been marked up with headings.
It has a number of features to simplify this process including the ability
to set a cutoff point for heading levels that are included, automatic
insertion of the table of contents in either the document or clipboard,
support for relative links and the ability to build the table of contents
in sections rather than all at once.
BBEdit HTML TOC is able to detect the presence of an existing table of
contents and update, replace or add to it and it will reuse names that have
already been applied to parts of your document when appropriate.
BBEdit HTML TOC has been extensively tested on versions 3.5.2 and 4.0.1 of
BBEdit. It requires a version of BBEdit that supports extensions, which
means version 3.0 or later. This software is shareware, with the low fee of
US$5 payable directly or via Kagi. Please read the enclosed read me for
details.

Subject: [*] Big Brother 1.1
This is Big Brother 1.1, a WWW link checker. It reads HTML files and
makes sure that the links they contain are still valid. You will find
it useful if you maintain a Web page (or a whole site!) or if you have
a long list of bookmarks.
The main changes since version 1.0.1 are:
- Integration with URL Manager Pro 1.4b13 or later.
- Link names are displayed in addition to addresses.
- Support for all HTML 3.2 tags, including BASE HREF.
Big Brother requires the Thread Manager (which is part of System 7.5).
Big Brother is $10 shareware - give it a try!

Subject: [*] Booklet Maker
Announcing the release of the Booklet Maker program which can be used in
conjunction with most word processors and a Postscript printer to produce small
books.
Specifically, this application will read a PostScript file, rearrange the
pages,
and create a new PostScript file. This new file can then be sent to a printer
with just two passes of the paper. The resulting double sided sheets can then
be
folded over to form a book.
Features:
* Works with almost all word processors.
* Small, simple application. (Microsoft, eat your heart out.)
* Works with any paper size.
* Supports drag and drop under System 7.
* The price is right - free.
System requirements:
* Booklet Maker runs under any version of System 6 or System 7.
* Any 68K Macintosh (MacPlus or later) or any Power Macintosh.
* Booklet Maker uses a whopping 100k of RAM.
* The application requires about 50k of hard drive space.
* Hard disk space for two Postscript files. This varies with the size of the
document to be made into a book and is typically 1 to 2M.
Printer requirements:
* Any Postscript compatible printer.
* LaserWriter 8 driver must be used (requires system 6.07 or later).
For more information, please see the enclosed README file.
Thanks,
Tom Thorpe

Subject: [*] CopyPaste 3.2.1J - Japanese Version
This the Japanese version of the CopyPaste package.
CopyPaste is the winner of the MacUser Shareware Utility of 1996 and the
America Online Macintosh Utilities Shareware Award for 1996.
One of the early wonders of the Mac was its revolutionary ability to do
copy and paste across various applications. Unlike other areas in the Mac's
system software that have changed and progressed over the years, copy and
paste has not evolved. How many times have you found yourself going back
and forth copying in one application and pasting in a different
application, wishing to yourself that you could copy 5-10 items at a time,
then go to another application and paste each of these items. Now you can!
Also includes: built in application switcher, clipboard archiving,
CopyPaste Pallet, text manipulation tools, and much, much more!
Version 3.2.1
* Now works with Adobe Photoshop
* Now works with Illustrator
* Now works with L.K.I.S.S. (Lets Keep It Simple Spreadsheet)
* Problem with type 11 crashes when deleting "All Clipboards" is solved
* Improved Application Switcher, starts with the List display and allows
to cmd shift tab to switch backwards. The window now is bigger in order to
display more open programs. The icon display for color monitors is
improved.
* The problem with wrong data in the clipboards under certain
cirumstances is solved. Now CopyPaste updates the contents immediately
after a copy command.
* The submenus in Microsoft Explorer now works.
* The problem with the 1 byte 2 byte tools on Japanese systems is solved.
* Metacharacters in the menus now are displayed. (were replaced in
former versions).
* If the utilities is off in the preferences, then you will find the
utilities in the submenus under Cut, Copy and Paste.
* The Menusupport now works in Word 6.x including the utilities.
* Magic Menu from Alladdin now does not freeze any longer.
* The working solution for Popup Folder 2.0.1 problems is to put Popup
Folder into the Extensions Folder to load it earlier than CopyPaste.
* A problem with the display of larger pictures in the CopyPasteWindow
is solved
* Tag and Drop now works independent from the numbered clipboards, i.e.
the default clipboard will not be overwritten by the dropped clip.

Subject: [*] DeskBots 1.0
DeskBots is a desktop toy; something of a robotic sidekick, with
multiple faces, sounds, and voices, that resides inside your Mac and
brings out the personality that you always knew was there. Once
configured, your DeskBot will offer "helpful" advice, warn you of
impending doom, alert you to the presence of excess matter in the
universe, and generally do everything it can to distract you from getting
any work done.
DeskBots was created out of a longing for the dearly departed
Talking Moose. Unable to find a satisfactory replacement I decided to
create my own talking desktop pal to add a bit of comic relief to my
workday. DeskBots started life as the HEK3000 Personal Desktop
Assistant, a cross between the Moose and the HAL9000. With the
introduction of a new interface and just a bit of DNA from MST3K 'bots
Crow T. Robot and Tom Servo, the HEK3000 Mark II came into existance and
met with a fair bit of enthusiasm. Now, in DeskBots, you have the choice
of a number of different 'bot personalities thanks to the introduction of
DeskBot Personality Files which allow you to change your bots'
appearance and sound at will!
Four demo personalities are included and more will be made available
soon. A personality editor is currently under development that will allow
you to create your own DeskBot personalities.
Once you've tried Deskbots, your Mac just won't seem the same
without it!
DeskBots is shareware ($10.00) and requires a 68030 or faster
processor, System 7.5, Apple's PlainTalk Text-to-Speech software, and at
least 1 Mb of free RAM. Speakers and a monitor capable of displaying
thousands of colors are recommended but not required.
DeskBots may be included on the Info-Mac CD-Rom.

Word Translator - French-English-French
version 2.1 for the Mac - www.tranexp.com/mac
Word Translator is a bilingual word translation software. It can be used
like a normal dictionary to look up translations and also to translate
words from within other applications. It possible to change words and
translations in some versions of the program to extend and customise the
standard dictionaries.
Word Translator is very fast, simple and easy to use. It is meant to be a
convenient tool to find translations so the emphasis so far has been on
making the application fast and easy to use. Future versions will include
a number of features including document translation.
Our users use Word Translator to help with various tasks, including
homework for language classes and composing business letters in a foreign
languages. Professional translators use it to build their own
dictionaries to use in their work, and others like using it as an
assistant when studying foreign languages on their own.
This version fixes several minor bugs from version 2.0b1.

It did randomly fail to mount volumes and included
a few other bugs that have been corrected.

(to come back to the level of previous versions.)
Main features include:
- View the types and manufacturers of devices connected to your Mac's
SCSI-bus.
- Mount any single partition or an entire disk at any time with a mouse
click.
- Start or stop each individual drive without rebooting the Mac.
- Use the disk-driver software installed on the disk or Mt.
Everything's built-in driver for any disk.
- View a map of the individual partitions (including system-partitions)
found on a disk.
- Special support for removable-medium devices
- Runs on A/UX 3.x
Please note: If you haven downloaded release 1.1b2 already there is a smaller
patch package available to update an existing version 1.1b1 or 1.1b2 to version
1.1b3. This patch package is about one third of the size of this full release.

Subject: [*] OT/PPP Toggle 2.0.2 - Open/Close PPP under OT/PPP with one click
OT/PPP Toggle 2.0.2 toggles the state of the PPP connection using Open
Transport PPP. If it's closed, it opens it using the currently active
configuration as set in the PPP control panel. If it's already open, it
closes it. Using the Auto-Open feature, it can also open any application
or file you want once the connection is made. Just click on it in a
launcher or select it from the Apple menu and it opens or closes the
connection. It uses less than 10kb on disk and 200K of RAM (and only
when actually opening or closing a connection).
IT'S FREEWARE! Read the Read Me file for details.
System Requirements:
OT/PPP Toggle requires any Macintosh computer with the following minimum
software:
System 7.5.5 or later
AppleScript 1.1 or later
Open Transport 1.1.1 or later
Open Transport PPP 1.0
Recent Version History:
2.0.2 - Closes PPP Control Panel when closing connection if it is open.
This feature was present in version 2.0 but was inadvertently dropped in
2.0.1. Thanks to all the people who pointed that out.
2.0.1 - Now OT/PPP Toggle 2.0.2 Setup can choose any file for Auto-Open.
2.0 - Complete re-write. Faster, easier to set up (setup application),
unlimited retries (redialing dropped because it is supported in OT/PPP
itself). PPP Control Panel opening now an option.

Subject: [*] StartOnce 1.0
Introducing StartOnce version 1.0 .
(Shareware 10$US or 5 pounds UK.)
StartOnce helps you to control your Startup Items.
When you start your Mac for the first time on any day, StartOnce
will launch any items found in the "StartOnce Items" folder. On
subsequent restarts, these items will be skipped.
Installation is easy as StartOnce will create the "StartOnce Items"
folder for you the first time it is run. All you have to do is to
decide which items you want launched once a day and place aliases to
them in this folder. Put an alias to StartOnce in your "Startup Items"
folder and you are ready to rock-and-roll.
Use it whenever you want to do something only once a day. I use
StartOnce on my Mac, in combination with Roland Gustafsson's
free (ThankYouWare) 'SimpleBackup' utility to make a copy of my
most important files at the start of work each day. If I should
happen to corrupt one of these files, I know that I can always
revert to the backup copy.
This program requires System 7 to run.
Please include this on CD collections if you wish.

Steve Smith

Subject: [*] UnderControl 0.45
UnderControl is a file sharing utility for accessing hidden options built
into System 7.51 & newer. This only works with File Sharing 7.6x & newer
and AppleShare 3.0 and newer. OpenTransport is needed for AppleTalk address
-to- name conversion, but UC will still work without it.
Features:
* Allows the user to set a "greeting message" that all users see when they
login.
* You can send messages to everyone who is logged onto your server at anytime.
* You can see who is connected to your server... by numbers, not name, yet.
* You would be able to send messages to individual users that you choose,
if that function was working.
-Allows personal file sharing server owners to change:
*the maximum CPU time file sharing uses.
*a Greeting Message that users will see when they initally connect.
This message is saved by file sharing even when you stop, and then
restart sharing.
-Has an option that lists users that are connected, and allows you to
choose whom you would like to send the message defined in "Send message to
all users" to. It even lists the AppleTalk address (by numbers, not by name
) of the user! Previously the user list was not
generated correctly, now, the user that is selected really does recieve the
message!
Fixes since 0.42:
* Expiration date changed to 4/1/97.
* Hidden feature... OpenTransport based RAT (AT address -to- AT name lookups)
* Fixed send message to some

This patch is 100% free to registered owners of Anarchie.
Unregistered users, the cost to use this patch is to register your

Please read the enclosed read me for
details.

makes sure that the links they contain are still valid.

* Any Postscript compatible printer.
* LaserWriter 8 driver must be used (requires system 6.07 or later).
For more information, please see the enclosed README file.

* Now works with Illustrator

Mt. Everything is a Control Panel to help you to manage your SCSI-bus and
devices connected to it.
New in 1.1b3:
- Bug fixes and improvemnts
for bugs introduced with the last beta release 1.1b2.
It did randomly fail to mount volumes and included
a few other bugs that have been corrected.
- No new features compared to 1.1b2 but enhanced reliability

Subject: [*] OncePerDay
If you are running System 7 or later, there is a folder called "Startup Items"
inside of your "System Folder". Anything in there gets launched every time
your
Macintosh starts up. Haven't you ever wished you could have something
launch the
FIRST time you turn on your Mac each day, but not EVERY time? Enter
OncePerDay.
Put OncePerDay (or an alias to it) inside of your "Startup Items" folder.
Next,
create a folder inside of your "Preferences" folder called "OncePerDay".
(Sorry,
at this time the name or location of the folder can not be changed.) Now,
place
aliases inside of the "OncePerDay" folder. Those aliases will be opened the
FIRST time you boot your Macintosh each day, but not EVERY time you restart.

Subject: [*] Snitch 2.1.1
Snitch 2.1.1 does for the Finder's Get Info what SuperBoomerang does for
file dialogs.
With Snitch 2.1.1, you can view and edit file types and creators, preview
QuickTime movies, JPEGs, Marathon saved games, and more.
New features include a control to show and hide Snitch in the info
window, an Alias plugin that allows you to examine and fix aliases, bug
fixes, and other goodies.
Snitch 2.1.1 is extensible allowing other developers to write their own
plugins to expand Snitch even more.
Snitch 2.1.1 is compatible with all Macs with at least a 68020 processor
and System 7. Snitch is fully native on Power Macintoshes.
Snitch is shareware at US$20.
2.1.1 improves compatibility with non-English systems and fixes a stupid
bug with the shareware notice appearing too frequently.

Best Regards,
