There was a short article on Apple in the Sunday SF Examiner which said
Apple was planning on moving the Lisa into the MacIntosh line (I don't
remember the exact wording). The article said they were planning on making
a Lisa with a detachable keyboard and separate monitor. Internally it
would still be Lisa, but I guess they may phase out the name and make it
more compatible with the Mac. The article wasn't too clear probably
because they only heard rumors themselves.
The article also said that Apple would announce in January its laser
printer, and the long-awaited Apple-Net. In addition they may sell a
card for IBM-PCs which would allow them to connect to the APple Net
(which is 'box' that includesa hard disk) also. And finally there was
mention of a 'turbo-mac' which might have a video and hard disk connector.
What I really wonder is if Commodore will announce the 'mac-style' color
computer Amiga developed and is rumored to be priced at under $1000 when
its released.
Mark
