It takes a lot of time. After trying to update to os4 several times I decided to start the update at bedtime and just let it work on it overnight. It took about 4 to 5 hrs to finish. The update also wiped out my photos and my notes. I had copied my photos to my computer, so that wasn't a big loss ...
