I'm pretty sure mac os 9 wouldn't' be a great option for mine, plus I have 9.2 and my performa can only run up to 9.1 if if I remember right.

I tried it... but as with any other linux distro... it confuses me greatly! But it's very very similar to ubuntu, and the newest version lookes a lot like os x.

Hi, I would like to install tiger on my clamshell ibook using Firewire Target disk mode since it doesn't have a dvd drive. Those commercials are just getting annoying to me... instead of bashing vista constantly, why not talk about the macs features or something less annoying? And don't get me wrong bashing windows is fun but they should really not stoop to that level on their commercials.

Neither of the batteries show up in the system profiler, and no clue when it was manufactured. When I was swapping batteries the light changed and indicated it was charging, but what I tried later it still didn't charge that battery.

It would brighten back up after moving the mouse, taping the keyboard and such, but I didn't want it to go dim because it was annoying when reading articles and watching youtube videos... but when I turned off the setting to make it do that it still would.

It seems that upgrading to Leopard did the trick, it works fine now... weird that Apple never addressed it with Tiger.
