Re: Strange iMac problem
I would say that re-installing the OS is a last resort. Although considering your problem, I would at least, give it a go. But if you use your Mac for work and happen to have Time Capsule/Time Machine, you can always back up from that. Afterwords.

Re: USB Mouse causing Kernel Crashes?
One thing I saw what seemed odd was, the fact that it was a 'one day' thing.

USB Mouse causing Kernel Crashes?
I am using a Razer Pro|Solutions mouse (for gaming) and at some point it sometimes crashes my computer, next time it happens I'll take a few screen shots.

Re: Shutdown, System Sleep, or Display Sleep?
I try to save as much battery when not with my power adapter, so I normally have sleep on.

Re: Best Windows on Mac Options
From my experience, it has to be BootCamp. For many reasons;
A) Unlike Parallels it doesn't crash easily.
And it's pretty easy to boot up.
I'll have to check out this 'Virtual Box' thing.

I've known this for years, it's quiet funny, as you've shown above.

Re: Time Capsule
It's very nice, although when I go to retrieve something, it's hard to scroll through the days/weeks/months because, it takes such a long time to load. I mean I guess it's because it's hooked up to 5 macs, it has trouble..

Re: Applecare - worth it?
I didn't get it and never really looked into details. What if there's no apple store within several hours of you?
One things for sure. I wouldn't suggest trying to fix it yourself. Unless you actually know what your doing . Otherwise you could damage your machine or worse.
