Re: Shutdown, System Sleep, or Display Sleep?

I've set my system to automatically shut-down at about 0200. I found I was falling asleep in bed with my MacBook on my bedside table still turned on far too often. Plus I've found my mac gets incredibly sluggish after a few days left on.

Re: Microsoft shooting itself in the foot?

I read somewhere that they have yet another ad out with yet another member of the 'public' ;). This person claims to be tech savvy, and then claims that Apple makes aesthetics their priority, and not good hardware. Sorry, I bought some new RAM for a laptop running windows the other day (the same ...

Re: Wireless Mighty Mouse

I must admit, I've had few problems with my WMM (aside from the issue that the ball more often than not refuses to do what it's meant to).

Re: MacHeist II

I recently partook in MacHeist III, and got nearly $2000 of software for $31 ($39 minus my $8 discount). The software available was excellent (DEVONThink, Delicious Library 2, and BoinxTV ($299)), and I'm definitely happy with the price I paid.

I think it must benefit the developers, otherwise they ...

Re: Applecare - worth it?

I must admit, I didn't get AppleCare when I had the chance. I regret it now. Less than a month after my warranty expired, the superdrive failed. It cost me over £200 to get it repaired.

Quite a shock to the system compared to the £40 it would've cost me to buy the protection.
