Since installing OS 10.9 I can no longer get the option to choose to sleep or shut down by pressing the power button. Has this handy option been removed?

Does anyone know of a simple CAD program that will run on OS10.5? I have tried many but find them too complicated for my needs with a large learning curve. I used Claris CAD for some 15 years but as 10.5 no longer supports Classic I am now stuck!

Any thoughts?
