Description
Mac OS X $129 Mac OS X is the operating system for all Apple Macintosh computers. The current version is 10.5 (the "X" is the Roman numeral for 10). This version is codenamed Leopard. Mac OS X includes all the essential software to run your computer's hardware, as well as Safari, iCal, iTunes, iChat, TextEdit, Address Book, Front Row and other assorted apps and utilities.
iLife $79 iLife is Apple's consumer suite of creativity applications, designed to work together seamlessly. The current version is iLife '08. iLife applications include iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, iWeb and iDVD.
iWork $79 iWork is Aple's suite of productivity applications, designed to work together as well as integrate with iLife apps mentioned above. The current version is iWork '08. iWork applications include Pages, Keynote, and Numbers.
Aperture $199 Aperture is Apple's professional (as opposed to consumer) photography software, designed to help professionals with post-production work. The current version is Aperture 2.
Final Cut
Express
$199 Final Cut Express is Apple's semi-professional video editing software. It is essentially a stripped down version of Final Cut Pro, with a much lower price tag and sold individually. The current version is Final Cut Express 4.
Logic Express $199 Logic Express is Apple's semi-professional audi editing software. It is essentially a stripped down version of Logic Pro, with a much lower price tag and sold individually. The current version is Logic Express 8.
Final Cut
Studio
$1,299 Final Cut Studio is Apple's suite of professional video editing, post-production, motion graphics and related applications. The current version is Final Cut Studio 2. Final Cut Studio applications include Final Cut Pro, Motion, Soundtrack Pro, Color, Compressor, and DVD Studio Pro.
Logic Studio $499 Logic Studio is Apple's suite of professional audio editing and post-production applications. Logic Studio is in it's first version. Logic Studio applications include Logic Pro, MainStage, and Soundtrack Pro.
Shake $499 Shake is Apple's professional digital compositing application. A companion to Final Cut Studio, the current version is Shake 4.1.
Remote
Desktop
$299 Remote Desktop allows you to manage and control numerous Macs on a network from a single Mac.
